They sign on
We work with your referral, build their site, and collect their flat setup fee. Your referral qualifies as soon as that payment clears.
We pay you
We send your referral bonus within 14 days of their flat fee clearing. No chasing us down — it goes out automatically.
What you earn
Your bonus is 25% of the new client's flat setup fee — so the more they invest, the more you earn.
When your referral signs on at the Starter tier ($800 flat fee).

Do I need to be a current client to refer someone?expand_more
Yes — the referral program is available to active TradeSmith clients only. If you're currently on any tier (Starter, Grow, or Scale), you're eligible to refer and earn.
When exactly do I get paid?expand_more
Your bonus is sent within 14 days of your referral's flat setup fee clearing. We'll reach out to confirm payment details before we send it — so make sure your contact info is current.
Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?expand_more
No limit. Every qualifying referral earns a bonus. Refer one contractor or ten — you earn on each one that signs on and pays their flat fee.
What if my referral signs on at a different tier than expected?expand_more
Your bonus is based on whatever tier they actually sign on at. If you expected a Grow but they go Starter, you'd earn $200 instead of $300. If they upgrade to Scale, you get the full $500.
Can I refer someone in the same trade and market as me?expand_more
We work with one contractor per trade per market, so if you're a plumber in Milwaukee, we can't take on another plumber in Milwaukee — regardless of referral. That said, we work across dozens of trades and markets, so there's usually room for people you know in different areas or different trades.
